Wood Therapy: What the Research Says about Cellulite Reduction
10 Common Questions About Wood Therapy Body Contour What is All Body Wood Therapy? In June 2019, I wrote a blog about my experience with wood therapy contouring the body and I KNOW to get questions almost every day! I find that wood therapy is not super "principal" so there are still many mysteries about what wood therapy is, how it works and whether it is or not effective. So, I thought it was a good idea to answer the 10 questions you ask me about wood therapy by twisting body for you guys! Please be aware, I am not an expert, so if you are thinking of starting wood therapy for yourself, it is better to ask professionals first.1. What is wood therapy? In short, wood therapy uses a series of different wood massage tools to help break down fat and cellulite. Wooden instruments are used to apply direct pressure to the "problem zones" and essentially remove excess body fat naturally. The wood therapy we know today is based on an ancient manipulation of Eastern wood dating back hundreds of years!2. Is the Wood Therapy and the Body contouring the same? Not really. They are technically two different types of treatments but have basically the same objectives. Wood therapy helps to break down body fat while the body contour helps to narrow the skin and improve elasticity. There is a wide variety of different body contouring therapies, some more surgical in nature than others, but that is a completely different blog, my friends!3. Wood Therapy Work This is difficult because everyone's body responds differently to certain therapies. There are also other factors such as the age, weight and frequency of treatment that should also be considered. But for me, I found it very relaxing and helpful! Normally I would go once a week after working with my coach because I found that it really helped loosen my tight muscles and help naturally release my toxin body. You can also see my other blog post to learn more about !4. What are the benefits of wood therapy? There are a lot of benefits to get wood therapy, so I did a regular part of my training and self-care routine. In addition to being super relaxing and stress relief, wood therapy can help with: The placement of tight muscles Decomposition of cellulite and burnt fatNaturally eliminating toxins in your bodySpeaking of your metabolism Stimulation of blood circulation and lymph drainage and more!5. Is Wood Therapy safe? Since wood therapy is a 100% natural and non-invasive comprehensive massage treatment, it is generally considered safe. However, as I mentioned, you should always consult with your doctor or massage therapist before starting any new treatment just to be absolutely sure that this type of treatment is suitable for you!6. How does Wood Therapy feel? I used to laugh because I would think of it as Chase running his toy trucks on my body just a little more relaxing and with beautiful smelling candles and spa music! I experienced some discomfort during my first sessions because it was a new feeling for my body and you also have to work with your massage therapist to find out the right amount of pressure to apply (like a regular massage too). But after a while, I felt so relaxed during and after my sessions. This natural way of implementing repetitive movements with wood tools to manipulate obstinate areas of fat is surprisingly satisfactory. One of the strangest experiences was the sensation of the Swiss Vacuum Cup that they use to suck fat from the areas of their body and transfer it to the lymph nodes, helping you tone and reducing cellulite. It feels like someone's trying to give you a giant hickey!7. Does the Wood Therapy hurt? I'm not going to lie, when I first saw some of the wood instruments they use, I thought they seemed something directly from the Christian Grey playroom haha! But after feeling them in my body, I promise they're not that bad! As for the massage itself, the first sessions I had were a bit uncomfortable because I had more cellulite around the back of my legs and boom that required a lot of pressure to work. But after a few weeks, I noticed that it became more relaxing and pleasant and definitely felt more like your average spa massage.8. How long does it take to see Results? This is another complicated because it all depends on how many times you're willing to go. But normally, you are able to see a small difference right after your first treatment. But most people really begin to see the effects between their third and fifth.9 treatments. How long are the results? Wood therapy is more effective as a continuous treatment, similar to how regular massage therapy works. The more consistent it is, the more noticeable and lasting the effects will be. However, the results you experience will normally remain about three months after your last session, which is great. So don't worry if you miss a session or two, your progress won't be lost! 10. Can you do wood therapy at home? Theoretically, you can do a wood therapy massage at home. You can even buy a series of different wood therapy instruments on Amazon. However, since home sessions are not being performed by a registered massage therapist, it is likely that you do not get the full benefits of a professional wood therapy session. Like there is a HUGE difference between the massages you can get from your spouse or partner and those you get in a spa. Although they are great to relieve some stress and may be quite romantic, they are unlikely to provide long-term relief. Have you experienced body contour wood therapy? If you've had some body contour sessions of wood therapy, I'd love to hear about your experience! Don't hesitate to leave a comment below or come to me on social networks! A series of 10-15 treatments is necessary to achieve the desired results. How does it work?
